What Carla Found Out After Six Years
For six years, Carla started every morning the same way — digging through her closet for dark pants, double-checking she had a sweater to tie around her waist "just in case." She'd already lost a promotion once, frozen mid-presentation, terrified of what might happen if she stood up too fast.
She'd tried the exercises. She'd tried appointments, routines, things she'd rather not talk about. Nothing ever really changed — not for long.
Then one ordinary afternoon, her daughter sent her a video and said, "Mom, just watch this." Carla almost closed the tab. She'd heard it all before.
But three minutes in, one sentence stopped her cold — something that finally explained why none of it had ever worked. She watched the rest with her hand over her mouth.
